- Cesar Puch (github, Twitter) - I'm a web developer from Lima, Perú. I currently work with HTML and PHP and would like to get more experience with the latter. I've been working with PHP for the last 4-5 years and have been learning everything along the way, with manuals and online courses. I have even started getting my feet wet with OOP, but feel I still have a lot to learn. In general I´d like to get more confidence with the language and start doing things because I know how to do them instead of because I've seen them done a certain way (basically adapting code). I also would like to get more experienced with security measures. There are still a lot of things I need to learn, for example I've never worked with frameworks or version control managers (starting to learn GIT). In the long run I´d love to be part of a collaborative project. My email is cesarcarlostpdgmail.com. Preferred language: English.
- Spinei Dionis (github, twitter) - I'm a young developer still in college with only 1.5 years of experience with PHP. I also work in a company on a relatively big ecommerce project. I have fair knowledge of the latest developments in PHP and keep myself updated. I intensively use symfony components and other composer packages. I have a decent knowledge of best practices, OOP principles and design patterns. I also do some DevOps and have basic experience in operations, especially using AWS products. I'd like to get involved in an open-source project. I'm looking for a mentor to help me in my career's next steps and also get me through code-design related questions when they happen. My knowledge is also lacking in TDD and writing quality tests.
- Rod Elias (github, twitter) - I'm a brazilian science computer student working full-time at an Internet Service Provider performing tasks envolving network administrator, linux/freebsd administration and, of course, PHP coding. :) I have been doing PHP for almost 5 years. Even working mostly (unfortunately) with legacy code at my job, I still have some understanding about OOP, OOD, MVC, and other fancy names. :) I really would like to improve my skills with best practices, writing clean, readable and maintainable code. My interest include OOP, OOD, SOLID, design patterns, best practices, MVC, frameworks, testing, new features of PHP, git, MySQL, Apache, Vim, Linux, and so on. Besides coding, I would love to improve my english too. So, although my native language is brazilian portuguese, I can talk, read an write in english pretty good. I think we all have something to learn from someone and this project is really amazing for accomplishing that, also allowing new friendships being made and making the web a better place. Thanks a lot everyone!
