This document is the official reference for delegations of authority.

What's a delegations of authority?

The Nasqueron bylaws provides a decision process by consensus.

For practical reasons, they provide a mechanism to allow some members or special interest groups to take decisions for Nasqueron: “Members may adopt a delegation of authority. Delegation may be to a SIG, to a member or to a third party.” (art. 4.5).

Special interest groups

Operations

The SIG takes responsibilities to build, document and maintain Nasqueron servers infrastructure. It also acts as an IT contact point both for Nasqueron members and third parties.

As such, Nasqueron members delegates to the SIG the right to following responsibilities:

  • take final decisions related to the Nasqueron servers infrastructure
  • take final decisions related to user access and the associated rights

Finally, the SIG can grant power of representation to one or more SIG members to represent Nasqueron to an external service used by operations.

IRC

The SIG can grant power of representation to one or more SIG members to represent Nasqueron to any IRC network.
