Kubernetes machines run Debian 10 (buster), Kubernetes 1.19 with CRI-O. They're configured through rOPS: roles/paas-kubernetes.
It's currently in deployment.
First candidates will be a service mesh based on Kuma, Envoy and an Elastic stack.

The following Kubernetes clusters are available
