Monday office hours are dedicated time slots during which members of Nasqueron can meet to provide support, answer questions, and engage in discussions related to the projects and activities.

We especially welcome development, operations issues as topics.

That also can be an opportunity to seek advice, discuss ideas, receive feedback, or address any queries we may have. It fosters collaboration, knowledge sharing, and helps in creating a supportive environment for learning and growth.

What are office hours?

Office hours are privileged moment at designated time slots during which community members and contributors can gather virtually, currently on Jitsi, to seek assistance, ask questions, discuss projects, and receive guidance from more experienced members. It provides an opportunity for individuals to engage with others, share knowledge, and collaborate on Nasqueron-related activities.

Why do we have office hours?

Jitsi meeting came naturally when Nidal offered to meet at a fixed moment every week. In May 2023, Dereckson suggested to evolve the format so we can include everyone.

By establishing regular office hours, Nasqueron aims to promote inclusivity, facilitate knowledge sharing, and encourage active participation among community members. It demonstrates our commitment to supporting and nurturing a vibrant and engaged community focused on open-source development and collaboration.

When are the office hours at Nasqueron held?

The office hours at Nasqueron are currently scheduled every Monday from 20:00 to 22:00 UTC.

If this timeslot is complicated for you, we can extend them sooner, Dorian for example would prefer to meet at 18:00 UTC. Just let us know by editing that page (section current focus?) or drop a message on IRC or DevCentral and we'll join you sooner.

About the day, we follow the "Tuesday pattern of hackerspaces": just pick a day on the week, every day will be bad for someone, and good for others, there is no magic day working.

How can I participate in office hours?

To participate in office hours, you can join the designated online platform or communication channel specified. Currently, we use Jitsi as video conference platform. Camera is not required, we mainly use it for screen sharing.
